Job description
- Manages, monitors and evaluates safety performance in flight operations and crew training
- Replaces the Safety and Compliance Director in their absence
- Responsible for creating relevant analytical information and data to be used by managers for preventing accidents and incidents
- Responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of processes, procedures and practices
- Conducts regular inspections and proposes revisions to the Safety Manual
- Manages independent oversight of safety standards to achieve an independent view of safety performance with an emphasis on incident/accident prevention
- Maintains an ongoing feedback system regarding the adequacy of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Makes recommendations and advances the implementation of strategies for continuous improvement of SMS necessary to achieve and exceed the standard
- Responsible for the coordination and efficient operation of the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program and their analyses
- Manages FDM team and performs interpretation and analysis of FDM parameters related to the flight aspects of aircraft operation
- Proposes system changes and participates in projects related to improvement of security systems
- Represents the company's interests in matters of SMS, performs safety audits and investigations in accordance with the risk management process
Requirements
- High school diploma (IV)
- Civil aviation pilot
- Training in Safety Management Systems, Human Factors, including excellent knowledge of aviation regulations issued by relevant legislative bodies
- At least 5 years of experience in aviation
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- English language - excellent, active
