Job Description
- Manages the overall coordination of solving technical issues/problems reported via telephone or radio communication. Leads and provides support to line maintenance employees in their daily work to undertake the most effective measures to ensure a timely, safe, and functional fleet. Monitors VHF calls and ensures timely and quality communication with the crews.
- Provides ad hoc support to line engineers and crews in analyzing and resolving problems.
- Reviews the relevant MEL (Minimum Equipment List) and issues MEL control numbers to line engineers.
- If there is no contract with a particular maintenance organization, contacts potential service providers to obtain individual approvals for aviation certificates. Maintains and manages the records of these individual approvals and ensures that all documentation for each approval is available and up-to-date.
- Ensures the application of an effective and consistent approach to introducing, promoting, and achieving a high level of workplace discipline. Ensures the application of appropriate technical procedures for returning aircraft to service in accordance with the planned flight program.
- Ensures that work is carried out in accordance with safety processes, procedures, and the highest standards.
- Maintains contact with AUH (Aviation Unit Headquarters) and representatives to ensure timely and cost-effective performance of routine and unscheduled maintenance. Monitors aircraft documentation to ensure it is completed timely and correctly, and ensures that aircraft have the necessary certifications for return to service.
- Ensures the necessary DCV (Documentary Control Verification) licenses and approvals are maintained and valid.
- Ensures that maintenance is performed in the most economical way through optimal planning and teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma (IV)
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
- English language – excellent, active
- At least 1 year of work experience
- Desirable experience in aviation – aircraft maintenance
