Job Description

  • Communicates with passengers  in a foreign language (Chinese and English) and performs simultaneous translation for the needs of cabin crew and cabin crew leaders in communication with passengers on the flight and with visitors in the premium lounge
  • With a valid cabin crew license as well as a license to work on the type of aircraft, if necessary, performs the duties of a cabin crew member in accordance with and respecting all operating manuals of the operator as well as all procedures related to the position of the cabin crew member
  • If there is no cabin crew member assigned to the aircraft during the planned business trip, is responsible for work as a translator and Brand Ambassador primarily to the Cabin Crew Leader and then to the Aircraft Leader, the most immediate manager, following instructions related to safety and security and according to the hierarchical sequence of operational members cabin crew
  • Through adequate communication, helps in solving problems of passengers / cabin crew members / cabin crew leaders in a satisfactory manner. Provides a high level of service to passengers by anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations
  • Without a valid cabin crew license and license to work on the type of aircraft, follows safety and security procedures like other passengers on the plane
  • Assists the crew in communicating with ground services in China in order to maintain a smooth flight process and other procedures on the ground
  • Communicates with passengers in a timely manner during emergency situations and unusual incidents, as well as in the case of a delayed flight, bad weather conditions, turbulent flight, and according to the instructions of the cabin crew
  • As needed, assists cabin crew members in the context of translation and best-concept solutions when performing in-flight sales activities according to service standards and sales procedures defined in the Service Manual and related company policies
  • Participates in activities that are part of the company's marketing plan
  • Monitors developments in the Chinese market and suggests participation in events that may be of interest to the company (fairs, workshops).

Requirements

  • High school diploma (IV)
  • English language – excellent active;
  • Chinese language - excellent active; at least 1 year in translation work
  • Completed training for cabin crew, as well as for the Airbus 330 aircraft type
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point)
